  • QOTD I forgot to finish

Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you. My favorite pair of shoes is a pair of purple Converse. They were bought for my wedding in May 2022. I love them. They’ve taken me all over, from the coast of NC, to Ohio, to Michigan and to Florida.

  • The second appointment in the span of two weeks that didn’t go according to plan. Therapy edition.

After trying therapy several times over the years and quitting each time, I decided it was time to try again. As a 31-year old mom, I decided it was up to me to handle my emotions and maybe seek a little bit of professional help. I know my husband will thank me for this one day. I found a handy dandy website that allowed me to scroll through pictures and bio’s of the four therapists in Boone that were available to me through insurance. What is your favorite drink? I’m on a Pepsi kick at this time. Overall though, an ice cold freshly squeezed lemonade is my all-time favorite.

  • Goblet of Fire

I have just finished book number 4, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and I believe it may be my new favorite (so far!) This is the first book where you really start to notice all of the things that were left out of the movies.. Winky, Ludo Bagman, S.P.E.W, Rita Skeeter’s animagus form just to name a few. My favorite moment that isn’t in the movies, that I recall anyways, is Harry giving Fred and George the winnings from the Triwizard Tournament. I could definitely understand why he wouldn’t want the money and where better for it to go than the two jokesters.

  • I’m re-reading the Harry Potter books.

Currently reading Goblet of Fire and man, oh man, what a nostalgic journey it has been so far. I haven’t read the entire series in over 12 years but I’ve watched the movie series well over a dozen times. The first two movies are pretty spot on with the books, impressively so. By the time we get to Prisoner of Azkaban, things start being changed around and left out. Now, in Goblet of Fire, I’m amazed at how many differences there are. The Quidditch World Cup was much better portrayed in the book compared to the movie. I guess they also decided that Winky was not worth being mentioned or…
